Director's Statement

I set up ARC in 2015 to provide high quality asbestos consultancy to contrast against the poor quality high volume service frequently encountered in the industry. I have many years experience in the asbestos industry in a variety of roles. Initially training as an analyst, I then moved into asbestos surveying focusing on complex non-domestic sites. After some years, I moved into asbestos training and consultancy, and later worked as an asbestos compliance officer managing asbestos for a large local authority. Working in construction services I took a key role in enabling capital works to proceed within the current compliance framework.

This broad range of experience has provided a level of knowledge and understanding possessed by few in the industry.

I am one of 2% of surveyors to hold the BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA) which means I am fully qualified in all aspects of asbestos consultancy. I hold the full BOHS P402 Surveying qualification, P403 & P404 Air Sampling and site assessment for reoccupation qualifications, the P405 Management of Asbestos in buildings, and S301 asbestos and other fibres qualifications.

I also hold memberships of the BOHS Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (AFOH), and the Faculty of Asbestos Assessment and Management (MFAAM). Following a thorough professional peer review, I am one of approximately 60 to have acheived this level.

Beyond client work, I am actively engaged in shaping the profession. I contribute to BOHS initiatives on industry reform, hosted sessions at the 2025 and upcoming 2026 FAAM conferences, and have been a major contributor to the new FAAM Asbestos Survey Buyer’s Guide. I am committed to raising standards, supporting professional peers, and promoting honest, ethical practice in an industry where integrity is vital.

I work with a team of specialist associates whose expertise can be called upon to assist with the more complex issues which may be encountered together with providing expert occupational hygiene consultancy.
